Repairing this Warwick, RI Crawl Space

Challenge

This homeowner in Warwick, RI reached out to us because the crawl space beneath their cottage had dry rot which was also causing foundation issues. Our inspector, Rick, went out to the property to assess the crawl space and drew up a plan to encapsulate it and restore its structural integrity. Rick made sure to include a solution for the existing mold in the space as well to ensure the space was fully improved in every aspect.

Solution

On installation day, our foreman, Tomas, and his crew arrived ready to transform this crawl space! First, they sprayed our Mold-X2 spray throughout the space to clean and prevent mold going forward. Then they were able to completely insulate the crawl space with our TerraBlock and SilverGlo insulations to regulate temperature. Next, they fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. They also set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the space to keep humidity under control year round. To fix the foundation issues, the crew installed our SmartJack Stabilizing System. SmartJacks are made of galvanized steel, so they aren't susceptible to mold and dry rot like wood is. SmartJacks can even be adjusted to reverse the settlement that has already occurred in the home. Now the homeowner can feel nothing but peace of mind when it comes to their crawl space!
