Complete Crawl Space Transformation in East Falmouth, MA

Challenge

This homeowner in East Falmouth, MA reached out to us because they were dealing with a variety of issues in their crawl space. It would frequently take on water, wasn't properly insulated, and was undergoing some structural issues. The crawl space is beneath the entirety of this home, so it was really important that it was in good condition. Our inspector, David, went to the home to assess the crawl space and drew up a solution that would solve each issue it was having.

Solution

On installation day, our foreman, Kervin, and his crew first removed all debris from the space and then they installed our Starpipe drainage system around the perimeter of the crawl space floor to collect groundwater. They insulated the crawl space with our SilverGlo wall insulation and then fully encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. The crew also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and TripleSafe sump pump in the crawl space. All of the water collected by the drainage and dehumidification systems is sent into the sump pump which then sends it all out of the crawl space. To fix the structural issues, the crew installed nine of our SmartJack Stabilizers throughout the space. SmartJacks are strong, vertical beams made of galvanized steel. Now the homeowner can have peace of mind knowing the crawl space beneath their home is in great shape!
