Crawl Space Encapsulation Project in Narragansett, RI

Challenge

This homeowner in Narragansett, RI reached out to us because they were dealing with excessive moisture issues in the crawl space beneath their home. The moisture was beginning to effect the rest of their home so they were seeking a reliable solution. Our inspector, Andy, went out to the home to assess the crawl space and he drew up a plan that would eliminate its moisture issues going forward.

Solution

On installation day, our foreman, MJ, and his crew first removed all debris from the space and then they laid down our drainage matting over the dirt floor. Drainage matting allows water to flow under and out of the space instead of pooling inside. Then the crew was able to fully encapsulate the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. Lastly, they set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the crawl space to keep the moisture in the air of the space under control. Now the homeowner will no longer have to worry about their crawl space!
