Crawl Space Transformation in Teaticket, MA

Challenge

This homeowner in Teaticket, MA had an assessment done in their crawl space because they were noticing a musty odor seeping into their home. The assessment told them that the condition of the crawl space was, in fact, impacting their living space and it was in need of repair. They were specifically looking for new insulation, encapsulation, and dehumidification solutions, and they were also worried about existing mold growth. Our inspector, Rick, went out to the home to take a look at the crawl space and he drew up a solution that would cover each problem area and completely transform the crawl space!

Solution

On installation day, our foreman, MJ, and his crew first removed the debris from the space and regraded the soil for drainage. Then they sprayed our Mold-X2 spray to clean the existing mold and prevent it going forward. The crew re-insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation which will regulate temperature more efficiently than the old fiberglass insulation did, and it doesn't deteriorate over time. They also installed our CleanSpace SmartDrain to further ensure that the crawl space will stay clean and dry. To finish up the project, they fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier and set up our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity low year-round and eliminate any odors. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about the crawl space beneath their home!
