Crawl Space Transformation in Williamsburg, MA

Challenge

This homeowner in Williamsburg, MA reached out to us because the crawl space beneath their home was constantly damp and it was starting to cause an odor throughout the rest of their house. The crawl space was also uninsulated, so this was causing very cold floors in the winter months. Our inspector, Dave, went out to the home to assess the crawl space and he drew up a solution that would fix not only its moisture issues, but also its temperature problems as well.

Solution

On installation day, Foreman Riley and his crew first removed any debris that was in the space and then they laid down our drainage matting over the dirt floor to allow any water to flow under and out instead of pooling inside. They insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation which will regulate temperature year-round and it doesn't deteriorate over time. Then our crew fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out moisture and they installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to eliminate the musty odor. Now the homeowner won't be dealing with odors or cold floors in their home any longer!
