Insulating a Cold Little Compton, RI Crawl Space
Challenge
This homeowner in Little Compton, RI reached out to us because the crawl space beneath their home was very cold which was causing their living space to be pretty chilly as well. Our inspector, Andy, went out to the house to take a look at the crawl space. He then drew up a solution to insulate and encapsulate the space and shared the free estimate with the homeowner. They loved the look of Andy's plan and were really looking forward to installation day.
Solution
Foreman Riley and his crew arrived on installation day ready to transform the crawl space! They first removed any debris that was in the space and then laid down drainage matting over the dirt floor. They insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation and TerraBlock floor insulation which regulate temperature and will make a noticeable difference in the home's living space. Lastly, the crew fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal it off. Now the homeowner will feel much warmer in their home during the winter months since their crawl space is properly insulated.
