Marshfield, MA Crawl Space Repair
Challenge
This homeowner in Marshfield, MA reached out to us about the dirt crawl space beneath their home that was built around 100 years ago. In recent years, they've noticed that the crawl space was often pretty damp and had a musty smell. They were concerned that as time went on, the issues in the crawl space would start to effect their home's living space, so they called us looking for solutions. Our inspector, David, went out to the home to assess the crawl space and he drew up a plan that would solve all of its issues!
Solution
On installation day, our foreman, Melvin, and his crew first removed any debris that was in the crawl space and then put our drainage matting over the dirt floor to allow water to flow under and out rather than stay inside. They insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation to regulate temperature year-round. The crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier and installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity low and eliminate the musty odor. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about the crawl space beneath their home!
