Crawl Space Transformation in Carver, MA
Challenge
A customer in Carver, MA reached out to us looking for crawl space encapsulation options for a house they were buying. After moving in, this was one of the first projects they wanted to be done to make a healthier environment for their new home above. The crawl space had an exposed dirt floor, deteriorating insulation, and was constantly pretty damp. Our sales inspector, Mike, went out to the home to assess the crawl space and he drew up an effective solution for it.
Solution
On installation day, our production foreman, Damien, and his crew first removed all of the debris and old fiberglass insulation from the crawl space to clean it out. Then they laid down our drainage matting over the dirt floor and installed our SilverGlo insulation along the walls of the space to reinsulate. SilverGlo is more efficient than fiberglass and it doesn't deteriorate over time. The crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to keep out moisture by sealing it off from the outside earth. Now the homeowner can enjoy their new home without worrying about the crawl space beneath them!
