Crawl Space Solutions in Westport, MA
Challenge
This homeowner in Westport, MA reached out to us because the crawl space beneath their home was having issues due to excessive moisture from being exposed to the earth. There was also old fiberglass insulation that was deteriorating and falling into the space, causing a mess. Our inspector, David, went out to the home and assessed the crawl space. After his assessment, he drew up a solution that addressed each issue the space was having.
Solution
On installation day, our foreman, Kervin, and his crew started by cleaning out the space by removing all of the debris and old insulation. Then they laid down our drainage matting over the dirt floor to allow water to flow under and out of the space. They reinsulated the crawl space with our SilverGlo wall insulation which effectively regulates temperature and won't deteriorate like the fiberglass did. Then the crew was able to fully encapsulate the space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, sealing it off from the outside earth. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about the crawl space beneath their home!
