Encapsulating a Basement Floor in Athol, MA
Challenge
A homeowner in Athol, MA reached out to us about their basement that had an exposed dirt floor. The utilities for the home are all located in the basement, so it was really important that they stayed protected from water or moisture. Corey, one of our inspectors, went out to the home to assess the basement and then he drew up a solution that would be sure to protect the utilities going forward.
Solution
On installation day, our foreman, Damien, and his crew put Corey's solution for the basement into place with our trusted products. They laid our drainage matting over the dirt floor and then encapsulated it with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal it off. With the floor encapsulated, the basement will be protected from any excess moisture and the homeowner will no longer have to worry about their home's utilities.
