Crawl Space Humidity Control in Foster, RI
Challenge
This home in Foster, RI had some water and moisture concerns in their basement and crawl space that were causing a massive headache for the homeowners, leading them to call us in to help! The inspector went into the basement and far corners of the crawl space to investigate their concerns. In the crawl space, moisture was causing a damp, musty smell and wood rot, but not to worry, we have solutions!
Solution
The crew went into the crawl space with a plan in place from the inspector and homeowner, encapsulation, insulation and dehumidification! First, they encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent moisture from saturating the air in the crawl. Around the foundation, SilverGlo insulation was installed to help regulate the temperature, even in the cold and hot seasons! Finally, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was added to absorb any humidity, adding to the health of the crawl space and home!
