Challenge
The crawl space in this Abington, MA home was dealing with a lot of humidity and moisture problems, with condensation on the walls and moss growth on the ground inside! The excessive moisture put this crawl at risk for mold growth and rot, compromising the health and structural integrity of the home. Solution
Our crew encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier, sealing the cold, wet earth away from the rest of the home. Since there was a lot of moisture in this space, they also installed a SmartSump to remove excessive water seepage. To reduce the humidity, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was the perfect addition to this space, keeping the crawl below 55% relative humidity to prevent mold growth. They also insulated the crawl space with SilverGlo insulation, reflecting heat back into the crawl and reducing heating bills. With all of this, this crawl space got the ultimate makeover and is now a much healthier area of the home!
