Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Waterproofing this Middleboro, MA Farmhouse
This customer in Middleboro, MA recently purchased their farmhouse that was built in 1820. They gave us a call inquiring about how we'd be able to help with waterproofing the basement so our inspector, James, went out to take a look. James drew up a waterproofing plan and on installation day, Foreman Riley and his crew got to work! They installed our SmartPipe drainage system along the perimeter of the floor and then fully encapsulated the walls and floor with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. They also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity low and that drains itself into the TripleSafe sump pump which sends all of the water out of the house. On the outside of the home, the crew set up our IceGuard discharge line system to prevent flooding from a clogged or frozen discharge line. With their basement now waterproofed, the homeowner is so happy they gave us a call!
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting is laid over the floor before the CleanSpace is fully installed. It prevents water from pooling on the floor of the basement.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
CleanSpace is a strong vapor barrier that protects the basement walls and floor from water damage and it directs any water into the drainage system.
The SaniDry Sedona keeps the humidity in the air of the basement low and drains itself into the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe takes all of the water it collects and sends it out of the home through the discharge lines.
IceGuard Discharge Line System
The IceGuard discharge line system is installed on the outside of the home and prevents flooding in the event of a clogged or frozen discharge line.
