Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair for a Cottage in Wakefield, RI
This homeowner in Wakefield, RI gave us a call because their cottage on the water was experiencing some serious issues with the crawl space. Due to the space taking on water, the rest of the home had a musty smell and encapsulation was definitely necessary. Our inspector, Connor, drew up a solution to encapsulate the crawl space as well as handle the water and odor issues. Our crew encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier and installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control humidity. To keep the space completely dry, they installed our SmartSump drainage system which sends all water out of the space through a discharge line. During his inspection, Connor had noticed that the excessive moisture was causing the wooden beams that support the cottage to weaken, so our crew installed our SmartJack Stabilizers to reinforce the structure. Once the work inside of the crawl space was done, the crew installed our EverLast Door over the entrance to seal it off from harmful weather, but it is still accessible when needed. The homeowner can now have peace of mind when it comes to their crawl space!
