This homeowner in Cohasset, MA reached out to us looking for help with their crawl space that opens up into their basement. They really wanted to have it encapsulated because they did not enjoy looking at the rocky, dirt floor of the space every time they went down to their basement, it created a very cold and dark environment. Our inspector, David, went out to the home and drew up a plan to encapsulate and also insulate the space. On installation day, Foreman Lucio and his crew crew first removed any debris that was in the space then laid down drainage matting over the dirt floor. They insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation which regulates temperature and doesn't deteriorate over time. The crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal it off. The CleanSpace is a bright white color so it really makes a difference in the visual look of the space. Now the homeowner doesn't have to dread going down into their basement and seeing their crawl space!
