This sump pump in Springfield, MA was in need of an upgrade: to maximize the effectiveness, and help protect this basement against water intrusion and flooding. A great first step to ensuring a dry basement!
Like this home in Avon, MA, sometimes cracks in the middle of the floor can occur and cause water to seep up from those areas. While our Waterguard goes around the perimeter, we do have solutions for those cracks that reach towards the middle of the floor. In situations like this, a variation of the Waterguard is placed under the floor where the water is seeping through and connects to the sump pump. All the collected water that would be coming up from the floor is now guided to the sump system and will be pumped out of the home.
There was no drainage system for this homeowner in Avon, MA causing water to start puddling around the perimeter. The water was getting in through the cracks of the foundation and the homeowner had enough. He contacted us to get an estimate on our WaterGuard interior drainage system. Once the inspector informed the homeowner how and when they would install the WaterGuard, the production crew came to dig a trench that surrounds the inside perimeter of the basement to install the WaterGuard in. The WaterGuard is designed to be a non-clogging drainage system that collects and moves water to the existing sump pump.
In Berkley, MA, this home needed some repairs before they could finish their basement, mainly cracks in the wall that allowed water to seep through and create puddles. Knowing this issue would not fix itself, the home owners gave DryZone a call and we were able to repair the cracks for them with our FlexiSpan Wall System. For this system, we install a drywell to catch any potential leaks and keeps them off the basement floor. Then we prep the crack and add our sealant that gets deep in the crack, the sealant is flexible so it will move as the wall does when it expands and shifts with the seasons. A second layer of drainage is placed over the sealed crack that will guide any water to the drywell in the rare case it gets through. The crack here was covered with a Cleanspace Vapor Barrier that will give it a clean look and keep the moisture out of the basement.
A homeowner in Raynham, MA was worried about the standing water seen in his unfinished basement. He was planning on doing some work to it, but wouldn't be able to resume if he didn't solve this issue. Luckily, he had DryZone Basement System's number to contact, and help was sent straight away. Safe to say, the installation of our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier and TripleSafe sump pump worked together to collect wall seepage, trap moisture and discharge the water out of the basement!
