In Brighton, MA this creepy and dirty crawlspace was in rough shape and needed some help. The homeowners came to us complaining that the floors above the space were always cold and they were afraid they were losing heat and wasting money. One key solution would be to insulate the space, our crew removed all that debris and installed both SilverGlo and spray insulation. They then encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace vapor barrier which will keep out dirt, moisture and pests as well as help keep the temperature regulated.
This large crawlspace in Norton, MA was experiencing issues with dampness, moisture, and musty odors. The property consists of a stone and cinderblock foundation, concrete floors and batted insulation. Due to its size, it was tough for the property owner to determine what exactly the cause of these issues was, but as this is located beneath a business - they wanted to resolve the issue so it wouldn't have a negative effect on their business.
After meeting with our inspector Michael and gaining much insight from his expertise, they decided to move forward with a large, inclusive project that would tackle both foundation waterproofing AND the crawlspace. The crawlspace alone was such an impressive transformation that we wanted to show you here so you could see for yourselves! With the installation of our CleanSpace vapor barrier encapsulation system, new SilverGlo insulation, and a SaniDry Sedona - this crawlspaces' moisture issues are a thing of the past, and should rectify any issues of that musty, mildewy smell and conditions that could have potentially lead to mold growth. Just LOOK at the difference these products make in this space!
This tight crawlspace located in Norton was in need of an upgraded vapor barrier, as well as a dehumidifer and sump pump system to help rectify issues with moisture and water intrusion. The DryZone Team quoted and installed an entirely new CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation system, a SaniDry Sedona to help maintain relative humidity (this way, the dehumidifier isn't constantly running), and a SmartSump crawlspace sump pump system to help expel water from inside the crawlspace!
This concrete crawlspace in Quincy, MA was curious about our vapor barrier because he was looking to protect his crawlspace even more. He had an existing sump pump, but the circuit breaker tripped so his sump pump wasn't able to work, causing him to take on water. We fixed up the crawlspace by encapsulating it with CleanSpace vapor barrier, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and a SmartSump premier pumping system. To go along with the SmartSump, we installed an UltraSump backup system in case the circuit breaker does trip again.
In Somerset, MA a new homeowner reached out to us because they were told by a Mass Save inspector that having their crawl space reinsulated as well as encapsulated would improve their new home's energy efficiency. Trevor, one of our sales inspectors, assessed the crawl space and drew up a plan for insulation and encapsulation. On installation day, our foreman, Kervin, and his crew got to work. They started with removing any old insulation and debris that was not needed in the space. Then they laid down drainage matting over the dirt floor of the crawl space to allow water to flow under and out instead of pooling inside. They insulated the walls of the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation which regulates temperature much more efficiently than fiberglass insulation and it won't deteriorate over time. Then the crew fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. They also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity low. Now the homeowner can fully enjoy their new home knowing their crawl space is energy efficient!
