This homeowner wanted to dry up his damp and nasty crawlspace after realizing his insulation was falling apart. Not only that, the old insulation was holding in moisture which is never a good sign for any homeowner! We responded to the problem by sending a production crew to clean out all the old insulation and applied CleanSpace vapor barrier onto the walls to prevent any moisture from breaking in. With our CleanSpace, the relative humidity is lower, the crawlspace looks brighter and the chances of mold growth decreases!
This damp, musty, dirt floor crawlspace in Attleboro Falls, MA had no existing vapor barrier installed. The homeowners were noticing a musty, moldy smell in their living space; because the air in our homes filters from the basement/crawlspace up throughout the home - this did not come as a surprise to our inspector Trevor when the homeowners explained their concerns. Though the crawlspace was narrow, he was able to go inside and inspect to take measurements and come up with a solutions that would address their concerns. With a CleanSpace encapsulation and vapor barrier installed by DryZone, brand new SilverGlo insulation installed throughout, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to regulate the relative humidity within the crawlspace - these homeowners can rest assured their home will be rid of that musty smell, their crawlspace is well protected, and those musty and moldy odors should not return!
This homeowner in Providence, RI was having issues with water coming into their crawl space but not making it to their existing sump pump. Our inspector, Steve, went out to take a look and came up with a solution to waterproof the crawl space. Our crew, lead by Riley, installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter of the crawl space floor to ensure that any water trying to enter would be channeled directly into the sump pump. The existing sump pump was removed and filled in and our SuperSump Plus was installed in a better suited area. Our Drainage Matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier was then installed to encapsulate the crawl space and seal out any excess water. Outside of the home, the IceGuard discharge line system was set up to make sure that the water being pumped out of the crawl space wouldn't come back in due to a clogged or frozen discharge line. Now the homeowner can be confident in their updated crawl space waterproofing system.
A homeowner in Barrington, RI gave us a call because their crawl space was in need of repair. Their home is located just a few feet from the water so it was important that the crawl space was safe from water damage and they also had some structural concerns that needed to be addressed. One of our inspectors, Connor, went to the home to provide a free estimate on a solution that would protect the crawl space from water as well as fix it's structural issues. Riley, one of our foremen, and his crew began with removing any and all debris from the space. Then they insulated it with our TerraBlock floor insulation and encapsulated it with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. To fix the structural issues, the crew installed our SmartJack Crawl Space Stabilizers. SmartJacks are strong beams made of galvanized steel that can be adjusted over time. With the crawl space encapsulated and the structural integrity reinforced, the homeowner can now have peace of mind!
This homeowner in Barrington, RI reached out to us looking for insulation options for the crawl space beneath their home. Our inspector, Mike, assessed the crawl space and shared a well-rounded plan with the homeowner that would not only insulate the space, but also keep it really clean going forward which will create a better environment for the living space above. On installation day, our crew first removed any debris that was in the space and then they laid down our drainage matting over the dirt floor to allow any water to flow under and out. Then they insulated the space with our SilverGlo wall insulation which will effectively regulate temperature and it doesn't deteriorate over time like other insulations do. The crew then fully encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal it off from the outside earth. Now the homeowner can have nothing but peace of mind regarding the crawl space beneath their home!
