SmartJack Installation in a Marshfield, MA Crawl Space

Challenge

A homeowner in Marshfield, MA reached out to us because the floors in their home were sagging due to the structural beams of their crawl space failing. Our inspector, David, went to the home to take a look at the crawl space and drew up a solution that would repair the sloping floors. The crawl space beneath the home was very small, just two feet tall! But that's no problem for our crew, they're all well versed and comfortable with working in crawl spaces. Whether it's a crawl space support or encapsulation project, or maybe both, they make it look easy every time!

Solution

On installation day, Foreman Lucio and his crew got to work with stabilizing the crawl space. They installed four of our SmartJacks along the main support beam of the crawl space that was starting to fail and effecting the home's floors. SmartJacks are made of galvanized steel which means they're covered in a zinc coating that prevents rusting. SmartJacks not only stop the sagging of the floors but they can also be adjusted to reverse the sloping that has already occurred. Lucio and his crew perfectly navigated the short crawl space and completed the job in just one day! The homeowner is so happy that their floors are fixed and won't have any sloping issues going forward.
