Foundation Reinforcement in Webster, MA
Challenge
This homeowner in Webster, MA gave us a call because after moving into their home in 2020, they've noticed that it's had some structural issues that were getting worse over time. Our inspector, Benny, went to the home and assessed it's structural integrity, then drew up a plan to reverse the issues. He found that the problems causing visible cracks in the walls of the home were stemming from the basement itself not being supportive enough. The homeowner also expressed to Benny that it often felt very damp in the basement so he included a solution to that in his plan as well.
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Riley and his crew arrived at the home ready to make Benny's solution a reality! First, they installed four of our SmartJack stabilizers throughout the basement. They are strong beams made of galvanized steel and they can even be adjusted to reverse the settling in the home that has already occurred. SmartJacks also won't deteriorate over time like wooden beams tend to do. For the moisture issues, the crew also installed our SaniDry XP dehumidifier in the basement to control the humidity and it even drains itself when needed. With the SmartJacks and SaniDry XP installed in their basement, the homeowner no longer has to worry about their home!
