Adding Support to a Home's Foundation in Kingston, MA
Challenge
This homeowner in Kingston, MA reached out to us because they were having a couple of concerns with their home's foundation. They were noticing the floors of the main level starting to slope as well as a bowing wall in their basement. Our inspector, David, went out to the home to speak with the homeowner about their concerns and then he drew up a solution that would reinforce support for the home's foundation.
Solution
On installation day, Foreman Lucio and his crew arrived at the home ready to make it structurally sound! For the sloping floors, they installed our SmartJack Stabilizers along the ceiling beams in the basement. SmartJacks are made of galvanized steel and can be adjusted to reverse the sloping of the floor above that has already occurred. For the bowing wall, they installed our PowerBrace Foundation Wall Repair System. PowerBraces are also made of galvanized steel and can be adjusted to reverse the bowing wall. Now the homeowner can rest easy when it comes to their home's foundation!
