Challenge
The owner of this home in Fall River, MA spotted a concerning stairstep crack in their cinderblock foundation. They knew the foundation to the home was a very important component and felt compelled to fix this issue before it could get any worse! Our trained inspector observed the crack and concerning area, educating the homeowners about the settlement that was occurring and how we could address the root cause of the foundation settlement.
Solution
Our foundation crew followed the plan and installed our Push Pier system to stabilize the foundation. Push piers are engineered steel tube sections that are hydraulically driven through steel foundation brackets to load-bearing soil or bedrock. This method prevents further settlement and can even potentially create a lift, closing the crack! now this family can feel safe and secure in their home for years to come.
