Challenge
This homeowner in Providence, RI was referred to us when they noticed their chimney leaning away from their house and contacted a few people to find out what to do. Our team sent our inspector out to take a look and they were able to determine that the outside edge of the chimney was sinking, causing that lean. They proposed adding piers to stabilize the chimney and reduce the leaning.
Solution
The crew went out and dug to the footing of the chimney. Under the footing, they added brackets and screwed the Helical Piers into the ground to stable earth. Once secure, the weight is transferred to the piers and the chimney is stabilized! The team then replaced the soil and graded the area.
