Foundation Repair Photo Album: Fixing Structural Issues in Attleboro, MA
This homeowner in Attleboro, MA was having settlement problems in their home which were causing the floors to slope and some of the doors to not fully close. They gave us a call and our inspector, David, went out to the home to take a look and he drew up a solution. On installation day, our foreman, Melvin, and his crew installed our SmartJack Stabilizing System throughout the basement. They installed our supplemental beams along with 14 SmartJacks to add support to the home. The supplemental beams and SmartJacks are made of galvanized steel to ensure that they won't deteriorate over time. The SmartJacks were able to be adjusted to lift the floor above up to fix the sloping and allow the doors in the home to close. The homeowner is so happy that their home is structurally sound once again!
Supplemental Beam & SmartJacks
The supplemental beam runs horizontal along the ceiling and is made of galvanized steel. It is stronger than a wooden support beam. The SmartJacks are perpendicular to the supplemental beam and are also made out of galvanized steel. They add support to the home's foundation and can even be adjusted to lift the floor above back to its original position.
Additional Support & Lift
On its own, the Smart Jack Stabilizing System adds reliable support to the home's foundation, but it can be tightened in cases like these to lift the floor above as well.
